Easter Safe Activity

Make a Chick-Bot and learn esafety this Easter holiday!

Just a few weeks ago, DigitalMe and O2 offered a Safe-Bot activity for schools as well as parents and children for Safer Internet Day 2015. If you missed your chance to build, decorate and personalise a Safe-bot with your own esafety message, then you’ll be pleased to hear that we’re creating another opportunity to do so, this time with a Safe Chick-Bot specially designed for Easter.

Our Easter Safe activity is specially designed for parents, though we’d encouraged teachers to give it a try as well. There are a number of ways to get involved and pick up some goodies as well.

If you live in Leeds, you will be spoiled for choice of Easter Safe activity. You and your children can make a Chick-Bot at the following locations.

  • Playful Leeds 4th April - Charlie Cake, Armley Park 1pm-4pm

  • Scrap Leeds 17th April - Farsley 1pm-4pm

  • Leeds Library 15th April - Leeds City Centre All Day

  • The Tetley 13th April - 1.30pm-4pm

  • Eureka! 19th April - Halifax - 1pm-3pm

Our new Safe teaching materials have been updated and made even more effective since they now deal with esafety for mobiles. In the set of activities we’ve planned for Easter, we focus especially on geolocation services. Pupils make a Chick-Bot and then upload a photo of it to our Safebot web in order to earn a badge.
