DigitalMe will help train the next cohort of iDEA faciliators

iDEA Training Event For Teachers

On Tuesday, 5th May 2015, DigitalMe will help train the next cohort of iDEA facilitators. The event will be a one-day training session led and organised by the iDEA team at Nominet Trust. DigitalMe will offer a session introducing the new iDEA badge kit for teachers and youth centre workers. The event is free and open to anyone interested in registering as a centre with iDEA.

The iDEA initiative, supported by HRH The Duke of York and Nominet Trust, aims to award 25,000 Open Badges for digital and enterprise skills to young people aged 14 to 25. iDEA seeks to identify and support the next generation of digital and entrepreneurial talent, especially in skills identified as being in short supply within the current UK workforce.

iDEA can be taught in schools, as an out-of-school-hours activity, within youth groups or it can be pursued by individual young people through our virtual centre. In order to support the role that teachers and youth centre workers play in the provision of the iDEA programme, iDEA is offering the opportunity to take part in free training on 5th May at the University of Wolverhampton.
